Fuller defeated Adesh Bardap Singh Chiron, a four-time MLA from the bar, by a good margin.

Punjab leader Siromani Akali began his political journey as a site activist and was a staunch supporter of Kieron until 2015, however, the series of assassinations in the state prevented him from being expelled.

Fuller worked as an SAD worker for many years under Adesh Bardap Singh Chiron.

The leader rejoined Chiron in 2018 and served on SAD candidate Bibi Zakir Kaur in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

Later, Fuller, inspired by Arvind Kejriwal’s Corrupt India and Delhi’s model of governance, joined the Aam Aadmi Party in 2019.

Fuller’s total declared assets are worth Rs. 6.5 crore, of which Rs. 1 crore are movable assets and Rs. 5.5 crore are immovable assets. His total declared income is Rs 2.9 lakh out of which Rs 2.8 lakh is self-income.

Laljit Singh Fuller has a total debt of Rs 63.8 lakh.

Earlier on March 16, Purohit was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit at a ceremony in Bhagat Singh’s native village of Katkar Kalan.

In the 117-member Punjab Assembly, the Aam Aadmi Party won 92 seats, defeating the Congress and the Shiromani Akali Dal-Bahujan Samaj Party alliance.
